I create professional development content to best meet the individual needs of districts, schools, and educators. I have produced deliverable content in the realms of leadership, digital literacy, assessment and instruction, and argument writing. In addition, I create microcredentials and innovative configuration maps (if you don’t know what that is, that’s ok–I didn’t at first. And now I can make them.) Having spent a decade in the classroom myself, I am passionate about PD which is personalized, practical, and actionable. I have created professional development content for Discovery Education, Curriculum Associates, Digital Promise, and The National Writing Project/Penn State University.
In addition to creating professional development content, I also deliver professional development content. I train and coach teachers in the realms of online assessment and instruction, educational technology and media integration, common core implementation, digital literacy, reading and writing in the content areas, and general best practices pre-K-12. I have delivered professional development for Discovery Education and Curriculum Associates. I have worked to improve teaching and learning in half of the states in the US, in classrooms and districts in diverse and varied settings, from large metro areas including New York City, Chicago, and DC Public Schools to tiny districts in the rural midwest, south, and southwest.
In addition to my work in ed tech and professional development, I also write for various print and online publications, primarily in the realm of travel, food, and professional profiles. I have worked with major organizations worldwide including Norwegian Cruise Line, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Experiencias Xcaret, The Culinary Institute of America, Office du Tourisime de Quebec, Omni Hotels, and UnCruise Adventures, as well as with countless tourism boards, CVBs and travel media outlets across the United States.
I also built this website. And created the video on the home page. And I make a mean chicken marsala. There’s really nothing I can’t do. Except sports. Please don’t make me do sports. Thanks.
