Tracy has been writing for the web since 2009, when she launched her educational travel blog, The Suitcase Scholar. During her time as a classroom teacher, Tracy created The WordPress Classroom, a website aimed at teaching kids real-world writing skills in a digital format.
After leaving the classroom in 2013, Tracy traveled the country leading professional development trainings in educational technology and digital media integration. During this time, Tracy grew to better understand how and why people consume digital media and used this to inform her own content creation.
More recently, Tracy brought her love of food and cooking online with the creation of Mashed Potato Castles, a food blog for the hungry-yet-busy. Her websites provide informative, entertaining content and stunning photography.
Tracy has written for various print and online publications, primarily in the realm of travel, food, and professional profiles. Tracy has worked with major organizations worldwide including Norwegian Cruise Line, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Experiencias Xcaret, The Culinary Institute of America, Office du Tourisime de Quebec, Omni Hotels, and UnCruise Adventures, as well as with countless tourism boards, CVBs and travel media outlets across the United States.
